About
My background was initially in academic psychology, sport and exercise psychology and eventually moving on to the robust training as a psychodynamic psychotherapist. I have 20 years experience working within banking and corporate CEO’s offices, board room review for industry and non profit organisations, home offices, athletics and many clients from creative industries. Although multi-theoretical, my leanings are intuitively Jungian.
I believe everyone can benefit from psychotherapy in many forms, long term, short term, crisis management and proactive coaching. It is fundamentally about how good the working relationship is between you and the therapist. You should have a sense that it could be an effective, cooperative, compatible working relationship whilst conducting your personal search for the right fit. I’m not for everyone, I work with a range of tools that are more direct and proactive that stemmed from years of working with the wrong therapist in what ultimately was very passive listening and reflecting therapy. Nobody wants to keep stumbling over the same unconscious trip hazard, I’m a therapist that will sign post them when you are stuck.
I am a member of the (M)BACP and the FPC and work to deep ethical standards accordingly.

You are ready to embrace emotional triggers, together we can reset patterns that no longer serve you. Clients may be using social media to self-diagnose, AI sources to find meaning and understanding. Leading to temporary relief whilst also amplifying anxiety symptoms.
Crisis Management
Life has taken a twist and your day to day is disrupted. Focus is murky and sleep is regularly disrupted. Anyone going through divorce, loss of job, temporary health setbacks or family challenges looking for an outlet of objectivity, compassion without judgement.
Open-ended, often short term but flexible. Whilst in crisis mode it is exceptionally difficult to work at a deeper long lasting therapeutic level, therefore, the pacing of these sessions find a careful and effective balance.
